Reading Selectmen will meet to discuss key tax policy for the town focusing on the senior citizen population, businesses and residential tax rates. The selectmen will discuss whether the commercial taxpayers should share in the proposed senior tax relief, which would be accomplished by changing the Tax Classification factor.
This change would result in a split tax rate, with property owners paying a higher tax factor than residential owners.
