Buy a Bow Program

Several years ago, contributors to the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce helped us buy 24" heavy duty red bows to decorate the light posts in downtown Reading for the Holidays (The Chamber also provides the garland).

After enduring weeks and weeks of winter weather during the holiday season, the bows have reached the end of their useful lives. It was time to replace them. The Chamber spent nearly $5,000 on long-lasting, durable bows that should last for another 5 years or more.

The Chamber is now asking for donations from the local community to help keep downtown Reading festive looking by purchasing new replacement bows. The cost of the bows was approximately $75 each. There are over 80 lamp posts to be decorated.

Can you help?

We are suggesting donations at different levels from $25 to $100 dollars. There is no limit to how many times you can donate.

There are two ways to help.

3. Drop it off a check at our office inside the lobby of Reading Cooperative Bank at 180 Haven Street during their regular banking hours.
